In 2015 we had a new safety surface installed in the outside playground which has made outside play at Busy Bees Pre-school, Tarring, both exciting and safer.  

The surface absorbs some of the sounds of the ride on toys, making the outside experience quieter than it was on the old tarmac surface.  

All 7 areas of learning are covered during the outside play sessions, available every day (unless the weather is too windy and risk assessed as being dangerous). 

Some of your child's physical development stages included in the EYFS development matters that are covered outside include -

•Experiments with different ways of moving.

• Jumps off an object and lands appropriately.

•Negotiates space successfully when playing racing and chasing games with other children, adjusting speed or changing direction to avoid obstacles. •Travels with confidence and skill around, under, over and through balancing and climbing equipment.

•Shows increasing control over an object in pushing, patting, throwing, catching or kicking it.

 

Many other stages are covered during outside play and our experienced practitioners are available at all times to support and extend your child's learning and development outside as well as inside.
